Pasadena Students in Caltech's Planet Finder Academy Hold Workshop at TMT Lab

Nineteen Caltech Planet Finder Academy high school students from across the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) recently visited the TMT Lab in Monrovia. TMT System Scientist Warren Skidmore welcomed the group and ran a special workshop for the students.

Tomas Chylek, Sr. Opto-Mechanical Engineer, and Denis Zaytsev, Observatory Software QA Engineer, are also skilled amateur astronomers who spend endless nights capturing the beauty of our sky by setting up their telescopes and cameras within the darkest regions surrounding Los Angeles.

India TMT Coordination Centre Produces TMT Main Mirror Roundel

The second TMT India roundel has been completed! The roundel was polished at the Coherent facilities in Richmond, California by the India TMT Coordination Centre (ITCC) staff, using ITCC equipment under the supervision of Coherent’s staff.
